Welcome to the Bub Club!

A fresh new, original educational musical story show for preschool children, homegrown in the UK.

Join Cubby, Chimpy, Puppy, Kitty and Mouse for fun singing, dancing and adventures. Bub Club is a safe, cosy, inclusive and wholesome place for preschool children to learn new original songs and new versions of popular classic nursery rhymes.

The Bub Club promotes kindness, friendliness, caring for nature and fits within the EYFS (Early years Foundation Stage framework). Bub Club educates preschoolers with fun, interactive sing alongs helping preschoolers to develop speech and language skills, understand the world around them and inspire their imaginations.

Join us for fun and exciting music that will get you singing and dancing, and rhyming musical stories that will encourage outdoor play. See if you can spot our friend Cheeky Chicken along the way!

MEET the bub club team!

Jacqui HUGHES

co - creator

Jacqui draws and creates the Bub Club animation, whilst co-writing the songs and stories with Kevin. Drawing on her experience training in Early Years, Jacqui ensures all the content fits within the UK EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) framework. Whilst working for the charity, Homestart supporting vulnerable young families, Jacqui experienced first-hand the positive impact rhyming and singing had on preschool children’s development. Her time working with Northamptonshire County Council Children’s Centre Services, running and training others to run, Rhymetime singing sessions for preschoolers, has been an inspiration for the Bub Club project. Jacqui’s vision for Bub Cub is to create a safe space for preschool children, free from any gender or racial stereotypes. Bub Club is place to have fun, learn and be inspired!

KEVIN HUGHES

co - creator

Kevin is the musical and story co-creator of Bub Club. As a published song-writer for over 20 years, Kevin brings his writing and production skills to the Bub Club project. Drawing on his wealth of experience writing, recording and producing music for major record labels. The Bub Club covers many different musical genres from Pop, and Dance through to Country, Folk and even Big Band Swing. Kevin has also written new choruses and/or verses to some nursery rhymes, bringing a fresh take on established classics.

Lene BAUSAGER

producer

Lene is an Oscar® nominated film producer with over 20 years experience across feature films, documentaries, television, commercials and live concerts. Lene established her London-based production company, Ugly Duckling Films, where she has worked with multiple award winning directors. In 2013, Lene took over management of singer/songwriter Rick Astley with her company 50/50 Media House and was an integral part on the relaunch of his career, especially in the UK.

Rick Astley

Rick Astley is a multi platinum recording artist with over 40 million albums sold worldwide. His hit singles include ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’, ‘Whenever You Need Somebody’ and ‘Together Forever’. In 2013, Rick relaunched his career with platinum album ‘50’, selling out arena tours across the world. He has amassed millions of followers across social media, including 2 Million YouTube subscribers and 1.7 Million followers on Tik Tok. Rick has just completed a country wide tour where he performed songs from his album ‘The Best of Me’ a compilation of his greatest hits.

Peter Neill

Peter handles Bub Club’s social media. He is a Music Industry Photographer and a Sony ambassador. Clients include Rick Astley, The Script, Elbow, Queen, Justin Timberlake & many more.

Bruna Pias

editor/animator

Bruna helps with Bub Club’s design and promotional video editing. She works as an assistant for 50/50 Media House and Ugly Duckling Films and is also a professional screenwriter and aspiring film director. Her favourite things include: writing, directing 1 minute short films for Tik Tok and roller skating!
